OpenAI's ChatGPT artificial intelligence (AI) assistant has reached one million users just days after its launch. The chatbot is reportedly more efficient at following instructions and has longer output compared to previous models. It is estimated that the AI may cost $3m per month, equating to around $0.001 per word generated, or $0.01 per query with an average response of around 30 words.
